Mexican Oregano (Lippia graveolens) is a robust, earthy, and aromatic herb used to season a wide variety of savory dishes. A different species than the more common Italian and Mediterranean oreganos, Mexican oregano has a different, distinct, stronger flavor that's earthy, peppery and grassy with citrusy notes, and has larger, darker green leaves.
Use it in chili, salsas, with hearty meats, and in all your favorite Mexican dishes, from burritos to beans to tacos al pastor.
