Psyllium, also known as blonde psyllium, is a low-growing herb native to Iran, Pakistan, and India. It is the main ingredient in the commercial dietary supplements "Metamucil" and "Citrucel." Psyllium is most commonly known and used for its high mucilage content. Organic Psyllium Husk Powder works well for baking, encapsulating, and making herbal preparations. Our organic bulk psyllium husk powder is non-irradiated.
